P.A. School Update

Dear Everyone,

I GOT INTO P.A. SCHOOL!! Starting in May/June I will be a P.A. student at the UC Denver Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO.

When I got the call from the school, this is how I wanted to appear....calm, cool, collected....

But this is how I acted over the phone. I was SO excited!

Thanks to my family...especially Sonnie and Ryan Jardine for the essay and interview prep and James for being able to read the directions on my application.

Drum Roll Please!

As of this morning, James formally accepted a great accounting position at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation in downtown Denver, Colorado! He could start as soon as January 10, 2011. I am really proud of him and we are so blessed to have had such a great job offer!

Since we are on the subject of good news, I also received an invitation to interview at the UC Denver Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado for admission to their P.A. program. My interview is December 8th.

So watch out Colorado...here we come!

Can you believe this person got talked into going to a bellydance class? They didn't even kick me out!

I wanted some pictures of James and I because we only have our wedding photos, so I asked Sarah if she would take some of us.

Some were pretty good!

And others weren't (by no fault of Sarah I might add).

Thank you Sarah!

Dreams Really Do Come True

Our dreams came true last Sunday at family dinner. I cooked the main dish (thanks for the advice Aspen!) and it actually turned out to be quite tasty and James got people (thank you Daniel, Jared, and Sarah) to play the Nintendo 64 version of James Bond 007 with him! DREAM BIG!

(Dear AAVP and Jardine family...we all missed you so much!)

The Perfect Record

I mentioned that James is playing softball this summer. I thought I would tell you the results so far. During the regular season they had a perfect score of 0-12 (they lost every game). They are playing in the C bracket tournament (for the worst teams) and had their first game last night. Guess what? THEY WON! I felt like I was witnessing a B rated Disney movie. GO TEAM REMAX!

Close Encounter with a Rattlesnake

Today, my family and I went hiking around just outside of Lander and as we were hiking, Sarah jumps and says, "There is a rattlesnake!". There it was, just coiled up in the sun. I wish I had pictures, but unfortunately our camera battery died just before we saw it. Dad decided to play Steve Irwin and got a big stick and held the snake's head down to make it rattle, which was really neat! Then he eventually picked it up right behind the head and made it bite the stick so that we could see its fangs and venom! What an adventure! We were much more careful with where we stepped from then on!

Happy 4th of July!

The 3rd and 4th of July is easily my favorite holiday! I am convinced that the best 4th of July celebration EVER is in Lander, Wyoming. Here are a few pictures.

Before the Bill's Family Fireworks on the night of the 3rd of July, we cooked fajitas over the fire-pit.

Each year we go to the best fireworks show brought to us by our local Bills family. There is a war reenactment, narration, and fireworks that are choreographed to music. Each year it gets better and better!

And finally....the FIREWORKS! The pictures don't do the show any justice, so you will just have to come and see for yourself. It is worth it!

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Guild!

We went down to Evanston and Bountiful last weekend to see James' little sister, Ariel, get married. She is now Mrs. Caleb Guild! They had a beautiful sealing in the Bountiful, Utah temple on a beautiful June day and they looked absolutely...BEAUTIFUL! Here are a few pictures of the happy day.
